Version 1.0 - Effective date: September 23, 2025
ShopPass (the “App”) is developed by the app developer (“we”, “us”, “our”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This policy explains what information the App processes, for what purposes, how it is stored and protected, and what rights you have under applicable laws. The App is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. If you are under 18, please do not use the App.
The App processes the loyalty card information you enter or scan yourself, including your member number, brand name, barcode type, category (an optional SF Symbols system name), card color, and an optional logo reference. This information exists solely to enable the App’s core features and can be added, edited, or deleted by you at any time. When you read a barcode from a photo, the image is processed on your device only, and neither the image nor the extracted results are uploaded to our servers. The App also downloads public configuration files (a brand table with logos/colors and a list of categories) from our CloudKit Public Database to improve presentation; these files are not personal data and cannot be used to identify you.
We use your data to provide the App’s core functionality: storing and displaying your loyalty cards, scanning and generating barcodes/QR codes, synchronizing your cards across your devices via iCloud, and sharing a composed card image when you explicitly choose to share it. We do not use your information for analytics, advertising, or tracking.
Barcode scanning from the camera and from photos is performed on your device. For storage, the App keeps your cards locally on your device (for example, in an app‑private file) and, when you enable sync, stores and synchronizes your cards via CloudKit Private Database under your own iCloud account. We do not operate our own external servers for your card data, and we cannot access the contents of your cards in your iCloud account.
We do not sell, rent, or disclose your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. The App relies on Apple’s iCloud/CloudKit infrastructure solely to store and sync your data, and we do not integrate third‑party SDKs for advertising, analytics, or tracking.
Data stored in iCloud may be processed or stored on Apple servers that could be located in other countries, depending on Apple’s infrastructure and policies. Such transfers are subject to Apple’s security measures.
Your card data is retained as long as you use it or until you delete it in the App, disable iCloud sync, or remove the related data from your iCloud account. Public configuration data (brands/categories) is retained to keep the App functional and may be replaced when updates are available.
You can access, edit, and delete your card data at any time within the App. You may withdraw consent for iCloud synchronization at any time by turning off the iCloud Sync switch in the App’s Settings. If you wish to exercise additional rights under applicable law (e.g., access, correction, deletion, objection), please contact us using the details below. We may need to ask for information to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.
To remove data from your device, delete your cards in the App or uninstall the App. To stop synchronization or remove cloud data, turn off iCloud Sync in the App and then use your device’s iCloud settings to manage or delete the App’s data stored in your iCloud account. The exact steps may vary by operating system version.
